England's Northwest-so good he wrote a book.

Postby NigelWaring » Tue Oct 06, 2009 8:05 am

The Guardian online has a competition for a trip to England's Northwest, the purpose is to promote a book by former Southport resident Stuart Maconie, he was born in Wigan but was a student in Southport; I wondered if anyone here knew him. He has a website here with some short stories, podcasts and maps. Here's a shortcut to the Southport Story. The website seems to be very interesting so I'll be having a peruse, hope a few Southport Chat readers enjoy it also.

I often listen to the evening radio programme he does with Mark Ratcliffe when I'm driving my youngest back and forth to various musical activities.
